On April 18, the Portuguese State Secretary for Energy and Climate, Ana Fontoura Gouveia, was a guest at the stand of "Agricultural Systems of the Future" at the Hannover Messe 2023. She was given an overview of the funding line and showed great interest in the research of the consortia.

At the joint Bioeconomy stand, 20 current research projects funded either by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) or the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) presented themselves at the Hannover Fairgrounds from April 17 to 21, 2023. The BMBF's "Agricultural Systems of the Future" funding line presented the research of its eight consortia.

At the interactive multi-touch table, visitors were able to learn more about cutting-edge technologies in the agricultural industry from areas such as urban farming, cirular nutrient systems and Agriculture 4.0. A demonstrator from the food4future consortium illustrated what sustainable co-cultivation of alternative organisms in urban agricultural production could look like. A drone from the DAKIS project exemplified the various technologies that will enable new land management systems.
