On 2 November 2025, project manager Ramona Bruck took to the stage at Berlin Science Week to present the «Agricultural Systems of the Future», showcasing innovative approaches to sustainable agriculture and resource-efficient nutrition.

The focus was on one key message: we must use every drop of fresh water ten times over before it evaporates. Because water is the basis of our food production – and thus our future. Whether algae in salt water, vegetable beds next to sewage treatment plants, indoor farming or food cubes in urban areas: the consortia of agricultural systems of the future show how circular systems and smart technologies are already helping to radically reduce water consumption and create new opportunities for food security in urban and rural areas.
